CRISIL Ratings has reaffirmed its highest short-term rating of CRISIL A1+ on The Ramco Cements' Rs. 900 crore Commercial Paper programme. Separately, CRISIL has assigned a CRISIL AA+/Stable rating to a new Rs. 500 crore Non-Convertible Debenture (NCD) facility. A1+ indicates very strong safety for timely payment of financial obligations, while AA+/Stable reflects a high degree of safety with very low credit risk. The new NCD rating suggests Ramco Cements is planning fresh long-term debt issuance of up to Rs. 500 crore.
Positive for shareholders — the reaffirmation of the top-tier A1+ short-term rating signals strong financial health, and the AA+/Stable long-term rating for a new Rs. 500 crore NCD facility gives the company access to cost-effective debt funding for expansion or refinancing.
