Thermax has submitted to the exchanges copies of its newspaper advertisement published on August 1, 2025 in Financial Express and Loksatta, containing the unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025), as required under SEBI Regulation 47. On a consolidated basis, revenue came in at Rs 2,150.18 crore (slightly lower than Rs 2,184.41 crore in Q1 FY25), but net profit jumped to Rs 151.45 crore from Rs 109.42 crore, a growth of about 38%, with basic EPS rising to Rs 13.53 from Rs 10.28. On a standalone basis, revenue fell to Rs 1,182.66 crore from Rs 1,310.95 crore, and net profit dropped to Rs 46.47 crore from Rs 85.98 crore, though this includes a one-time exceptional gain of Rs 93.73 crore from reversal of impairment provision in its subsidiary Thermax Netherlands B.V. Without the exceptional item, standalone earnings would have been even weaker.
The mixed picture — weaker standalone performance partly offset by strong consolidated growth and a subsidiary-related exceptional gain — suggests international operations are doing well while the core domestic business is under pressure. Investors should focus on the consolidated numbers, which look healthy, and note that the standalone earnings decline is partly cushioned by a non-recurring item.
