Thermax Limited has published notices in Financial Express and Loksatta newspapers informing shareholders that equity shares with unpaid or unclaimed dividends for seven consecutive years will be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA). The dividend amounts will be credited to IEPF on September 11, 2025, and corresponding shares will also be transferred per the rules. The company has already sent individual notices to concerned shareholders whose shares are liable for transfer. Shareholders holding shares in physical form will get duplicate share certificates, which will be converted to DEMAT and transferred to IEPF. Shareholders can still claim their shares and unclaimed dividends back from IEPF by filing Form IEPF-5 before the deadline. The deadline for any communication from shareholders is September 1, 2025.
This is a routine regulatory notice and is unlikely to affect the stock price. However, shareholders of Thermax who have not claimed dividends for seven or more consecutive years risk losing both their unclaimed dividends and underlying shares if they do not act before September 1, 2025.
