Thermax Limited shared its Q4 FY25 investor presentation. Quarterly revenue grew 12% year-on-year to Rs. 3,085 crore, with profit before tax rising 20% to Rs. 301 crore and PBT margin improving to 9.7% from 9.1% a year ago. However, order bookings fell 8% YoY to Rs. 2,119 crore as no large orders were secured during the quarter. Full-year revenue was up 11% at Rs. 10,389 crore, but PAT dipped 3% to Rs. 627 crore. Segment-wise, Industrial Products posted strong margin expansion (PBIT 14.4% vs 11.7%), while Industrial Infra margins were hit by Rs. 66 crore of one-off technology intervention costs in Bio-CNG projects. The company also announced a partnership with Brazil-based OCQ for chemicals and an MoU with Schaeffler India for AI-driven energy solutions.
Mixed quarter for shareholders — solid execution and margin gains in Industrial Products were partly offset by weak order inflows and Bio-CNG-related drags in Industrial Infra. The new partnerships and strong enquiry pipeline (Power, F&B, Metals) may support future growth, but the absence of large orders and full-year PAT decline could weigh on near-term sentiment.
