Tierra Agrotech reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results. Revenue from operations came in at ₹5,191.39 lakhs, up modestly from ₹4,994.51 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax rose to ₹540.18 lakhs (from ₹498.93 lakhs), translating to an EPS of ₹0.83 versus ₹0.83 prior. The full-year FY25 results reflected a loss of ₹1,158.24 lakhs, while Q4 FY25 alone showed negligible revenue of ₹486.05 lakhs, highlighting the strong seasonal nature of the seed business. Importantly, prior period numbers (Q1 FY25) were restated to factor in the amalgamation of wholly-owned subsidiary Tierra Seed Science Private Limited, which was sanctioned by the NCLT Hyderabad in February 2025 with an appointed date of April 1, 2024. Standalone and consolidated numbers are identical, as the company has stopped recognising further losses from its joint venture Tidas Agrotech Private Limited.
The headline profit recovery to ₹540 lakhs looks healthy on paper, but the YoY growth is modest and partly inflated by restated comparatives from the merger. Investors should note the seasonal earnings pattern (Q4 is typically weak) and the discontinued JV losses when assessing underlying business performance.
