The Board approved standalone unaudited results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). The company swung to a net profit of Rs. 474.41 lakhs, compared with a loss of Rs. 3,210.92 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Revenue from operations fell to Rs. 1,238.46 lakhs from Rs. 1,678.02 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, a decline of about 26%. The statutory auditor (Maheshwari & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review opinion, and the company flagged that quarterly results are not comparable due to the uneven nature of film-production revenues. Separately, revenue auditor SPML & Associates resigned effective August 14, 2025, citing preoccupation with other assignments, and M/s. Mathur & Co. has been appointed as the new internal auditor for revenue audit from August 15, 2025 (Q2 FY26 onwards).
The shift from a loss to a profit in Q1 FY26 looks encouraging on the surface, but the company itself cautions that quarterly numbers are not representative for this business, so investors should wait for the half-yearly picture before drawing conclusions. The mid-year change of the revenue auditor is a routine disclosure but is worth monitoring to ensure a smooth handover.
