Torrent Pharmaceuticals reported standalone net profit of ₹474 crores for Q4 FY25 (up from ₹410 crores) and ₹1,888 crores for full-year FY25 (up ~39% from ₹1,357 crores), with revenue from operations rising to ₹9,682 crores. Consolidated FY25 net profit grew to ₹1,911 crores on revenue of ₹11,516 crores. The Board has recommended seeking shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM to raise up to ₹5,000 crores via Equity Shares, Convertible Bonds/Debentures through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) or other modes. A final dividend of ₹6 per share (120%) was recommended, taking total FY25 dividend to ₹32 per share (₹26 interim + ₹6 final). Aman Mehta was recommended for appointment as Managing Director for 5 years effective August 1, 2025.
The ₹5,000 cr QIP proposal, if approved, could lead to equity dilution for existing shareholders depending on pricing. However, the strong FY25 earnings growth (~39% standalone PAT) and total dividend of ₹32/share signal robust cash generation, which may offset concerns about dilution. The market will watch for the actual QIP launch, pricing, and deployment plans.
