Torrent Pharmaceuticals' board approved audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025, with an unmodified audit opinion. Standalone FY25 revenue from operations grew about 13% year-on-year to ₹9,682 crores, while net profit rose nearly 39% to ₹1,888 crores, pushing EPS to ₹55.79 (vs ₹40.10 a year ago). Consolidated FY25 revenue stood at ₹11,516 crores with net profit of ₹1,911 crores. The board recommended a final dividend of ₹6 per share (120%) on top of the ₹26 interim dividend paid earlier, taking the total payout to ₹32 per share for FY25, with a record date of June 20, 2025. It also proposed seeking shareholder approval to raise up to ₹5,000 crores via equity shares, convertible bonds or debentures through a QIP or other modes, and approved the elevation of Aman Mehta from Whole-time Director to Managing Director for 5 years from August 1, 2025.
Strong earnings growth, a healthy total dividend payout of about 640% and a clean audit opinion are positives for shareholders, though the proposed ₹5,000 crore QIP could lead to equity dilution if executed. The MD transition signals management continuity, while the settlement of the NPPA litigation removes a long-pending overhang.
