Torrent Power reported Q4 FY26 standalone net profit of ₹431.90 crore on revenue of ₹4,480 crore. Full year FY26 net profit fell 10% to ₹2,575 crore versus ₹2,851 crore last year despite revenue being flat at ₹21,850 crore. The company declared total dividend of ₹20 per share (₹15 interim paid in March, ₹5 final recommended), consistent with prior year. The board approved raising up to ₹10,000 crore via NCDs through private placement and reappointed two Independent Directors (Radhika Haribhakti and Ketan Dalal) for five-year terms. Earlier in February 2026, Torrent Power signed an agreement to acquire Nabha Power Limited (2x700 MW thermal plant in Punjab) from L&T for ₹3,661 crore, pending regulatory approvals. Key ratios remain healthy with interest coverage at 7.98x and debt-equity at 0.57x.
Net profit decline despite stable revenue may concern near-term investors, though the ₹20 total dividend maintains shareholder returns. The ₹10,000 crore NCD programme and Nabha acquisition signal aggressive expansion, funded partly through debt which increased notably versus last year.
