Torrent Power Limited reported FY26 total comprehensive income of ₹2,514 crore, down 18% from FY25's ₹3,059 crore, though adjusted for a one-time ₹637 crore deferred tax reversal in FY25, underlying TCI improved by ₹92 crore. Revenue from operations was ₹28,966 crore with EBITDA of ₹5,864 crore. The company has operational capacity of ~5,094 MWp and targets growing to ~10,644 MWp backed by robust renewable additions. Key expansion includes a 1,600 MW coal project in Madhya Pradesh (₹23,000 crore, PPA signed with MPPMCL for 25 years), 3 GW pumped storage project in Maharashtra, and ~2.3 GW renewable projects in pipeline with signed PPAs. Distribution losses remain among the lowest in the country at 2.33% for licensed areas.
The company demonstrated operational resilience with margin improvement in distribution and renewable segments despite challenges in gas-based generation. The substantial pipeline of projects (thermal, renewable, and storage) with contracted capacity provides revenue visibility. Comfortable leverage (Net Debt/EBITDA of 2.06x) provides headroom for capitalizing on growth opportunities.
