Touchwood Entertainment reported a strong Q1 FY26 with standalone revenue from operations of Rs. 1,690.14 lakhs, up about 338% from Rs. 386.27 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Total income stood at Rs. 1,704.13 lakhs against Rs. 396.40 lakhs a year ago. Standalone profit after tax jumped to Rs. 129.64 lakhs (EPS Rs. 1.17) from Rs. 33.54 lakhs (EPS Rs. 0.30), a growth of nearly 286%. On a consolidated basis, PAT was Rs. 124.80 lakhs with EPS of Rs. 1.13. The company operated only in its Event Management segment during the quarter, with no trading or construction activity. Auditor VSD & Associates gave an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications. The filing also discloses a variation in the use of funds from a February 2023 preferential issue, with shareholder approval received in September 2023, and notes that Rs. 5.10 crore of unconverted warrant money stands forfeited.
The sharp jump in revenue and profits is positive on the surface, but Q1 FY25 was a very low base quarter so the percentage growth looks dramatic. Investors should watch whether the strong event management performance sustains in coming quarters and look at full-year trends rather than YoY comparisons alone.
