Tradewell Holdings' board approved its Q2 FY26 unaudited standalone results, which show total income falling sharply to Rs. 190.47 lakhs for H1 FY26 from Rs. 301.21 lakhs in H1 FY25, a steep revenue decline. Despite weaker top-line, the company swung to a net profit of Rs. 168.10 lakhs (H1 FY26) from a loss of Rs. 55.49 lakhs in H1 FY25, with H1 EPS of Rs. 5.60 versus Rs. (1.85) earlier. The turnaround was driven mainly by other income, including a gain from relinquishment of rights in an immovable property, rather than core operations. Total borrowings surged to about Rs. 1,307.53 lakhs against shareholder equity of Rs. 754.48 lakhs, taking the debt-to-equity ratio to roughly 1.73x. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified limited review report.
The headline profit swing looks positive, but with operating revenue shrinking and profits propped up by a one-time property-related gain, the underlying business remains weak. The sharp rise in borrowings and debt now exceeding equity is a red flag for retail investors to watch closely.
