Transcorp International Ltd reported its Q1 FY2025-26 results (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone Profit Before Tax jumped 159% year-on-year to ₹86.68 Lakhs, up from ₹33.53 Lakhs in Q1 FY2024-25, with EBITDA rising to ₹178.76 Lakhs and EPS at ₹0.20 versus ₹0.08 a year ago. Revenue from foreign currency sales grew to ₹8,373.92 Lakhs and traveller cheques/cards revenue rose to ₹4,871.21 Lakhs, both showing sequential growth from the previous quarter. The company also crossed the milestone of 5 million Transcorp PPI Cards and highlighted strong performance in its financial inclusion division. On the consolidated side, however, profit before tax fell sharply to ₹138.23 Lakhs from ₹1,056.08 Lakhs YoY, with consolidated EPS dropping to ₹0.32 from ₹3.26.
The sharp 159% YoY growth in standalone PBT and improved operational efficiency are positive signals for shareholders, supported by strong revenue traction in core forex and prepaid card segments. However, the steep YoY decline in consolidated profits and EPS may temper overall investor enthusiasm, warranting closer scrutiny of group-level performance.
