Transrail Lighting's board approved Q1 FY26 results showing strong growth: standalone revenue rose to Rs. 1,632.56 crores from Rs. 896.90 crores in Q1 FY25 (~82% YoY), with profit after tax of Rs. 108.75 crores (vs Rs. 54.47 crores earlier). Consolidated revenue was Rs. 1,637.06 crores with PAT of Rs. 105.82 crores. International business contributed Rs. 1,084.22 crores (~66% of revenue). The board also appointed Dr. Dharmendra Singh Gangwar (retired IAS officer) as Independent Director for 3 years, Mr. Raman Rajagopalan as Deputy Managing Director for 3 years, and Mr. Dhulipala Suryanarayana as Whole-Time Director for 3 years. Existing CEO Mr. Randeep Narang was re-appointed for 1 year from December 15, 2025, and Ms. Sonal Raj was appointed as Chief HR Officer. A dividend of Rs. 0.80 per share for FY25 was earlier recommended.
Strong Q1 earnings with revenue nearly doubling year-on-year should be viewed positively by shareholders. The board continuity with CEO re-appointment and internal promotions to senior director roles signals operational stability, while adding a former senior bureaucrat as independent director brings policy and governance expertise.
