Trident Lifeline, a Surat-based pharmaceutical formulations company focused on exports to Africa, Latin America, CIS and East Asia, reported strong top-line growth but margin compression for H1FY26. Standalone revenue rose 53% YoY to ₹4,790.17 lakh, while Q2FY26 revenue surged 76% YoY to ₹2,854.70 lakh. EBITDA grew 36% YoY to ₹1,295.37 lakh in H1FY26, but EBITDA margins slipped 319 basis points to 27% (Q2FY26 margin: 26%, down 430 bps) due to higher operating expenses, interest costs (up 59% YoY) and depreciation (up 129% YoY) from ongoing capacity and product registration investments. Profit after tax grew 31% YoY to ₹841.71 lakh, with EPS at ₹7.26. The company has 1,061 export product registrations across 44 countries, 3,445 SKUs in its portfolio, and 2,384 registrations in pipeline. Management guided to continued growth at both standalone and consolidated levels via organic and inorganic expansion.
Strong revenue momentum and PAT growth are positives for shareholders, but the 300+ bps margin decline and rising interest/depreciation costs from aggressive expansion may temper near-term profitability. Investors should watch whether new product registrations and subsidiary acquisitions translate into margin recovery.
