Trident Limited shared its Q1 FY26 (June 30, 2025) investor presentation along with quarterly results. Total income came in at INR 17,269 million, down 1.75% year-on-year, but profitability jumped sharply with EBITDA margin expanding to 18.06% (from 13.67% a year ago) and net profit nearly doubling to INR 1,399 million, an 89% YoY rise. EPS stood at Rs 0.27, up 83% YoY. The company also reduced net debt to INR 8,787 million from INR 15,517 million a year earlier, improving its net debt-to-equity ratio to 0.19x. Management highlighted margin improvement initiatives including premium product development, entry into luxury and sports segments, and digitization-driven capacity utilization.
Strong margin expansion and a nearly 90% jump in net profit signal improving profitability despite flat revenue, which is positive for shareholders. The significant debt reduction strengthens the balance sheet and may support the interim dividend of Rs 0.50/share declared for FY26.
