Triveni Engineering shared its Q1 FY26 investor presentation showing consolidated revenue growth of 27.4% YoY to ₹1,954.5 crore, but profitability took a sharp hit with PAT crashing 93% to ₹2.1 crore and EBITDA falling 21% to ₹76.5 crore. The sugar segment saw revenue up 17% but PBIT down 80% to ₹7.6 crore due to higher production costs. Alcohol volumes rose 53% with PBIT up 20% to ₹23.1 crore, while Power Transmission saw revenue decline 8% though closing order book jumped 38% to ₹423 crore. Water business order book stood strong at ₹1,552 crore. The company also updated on its ongoing corporate restructuring — amalgamation of SSEL with TEIL and demerger of the Power Transmission business into TPTL.
Despite strong top-line growth driven by volume expansion, weak profitability in sugar and Power Transmission dragged overall earnings sharply lower, which is a negative signal for near-term sentiment. However, a record order book across engineering businesses and progress on restructuring provide some comfort for medium-term growth.
