Triveni Engineering reported FY25 revenue of ₹5,689 crore (up 9%) and PAT of ₹238.3 crore, with a record Q4 revenue of ₹1,925 crore and Q4 PAT of ₹187.1 crore. The Board recommended a final dividend of 250%. Power Transmission was the star with 27% revenue growth and PBIT margins above 34%, while the Water business saw strong order inflows of ₹586 crore, lifting closing order book to over ₹1,600 crore (up 30%). The Sugar business grew 2.8% in turnover but segment profits fell 12.8% due to lower cane recovery and red rot disease. The Alcohol business grew 15.7% supported by the new Rani Nangal distillery. Management expects 10–15% growth in sugar production next year on better monsoons (IMD forecasts 114% of LPA), earlier Diwali, and improved varietal mix. Maize prices have corrected to ₹23/kg from ₹24.42/kg, aiding distillery margins. Standalone debt rose to ₹1,689 crore from ₹1,325 crore. The demerger of the Power Transmission business is awaiting SEBI approval, and the Sir Shadi Lal merger is expected in the next year.
Positive tone for shareholders — record Q4, strong Power Transmission and Water order books, dividend boost, and management's guidance for margin improvement in FY26 (especially distillery) signal operational momentum. However, rising debt and unresolved Sugar recovery issues remain watchpoints. Near-term stock sentiment should be supported by the demerger progress and strong engineering segment outlook.
