UFM Industries Ltd reported its Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations of Rs 3,208.06 lakhs, down about 3.8% from Rs 3,335.71 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Despite the slight revenue dip, net profit jumped to Rs 67.34 lakhs from Rs 38.88 lakhs a year ago, a rise of roughly 73%. The profit growth was largely driven by a sharp reduction in other expenses, which fell from Rs 254.52 lakhs to Rs 181.21 lakhs. Basic EPS for the quarter stood at Rs 1.18 compared to Rs 0.66 in Q1 FY25. The statutory auditor issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
This is a positive quarter for shareholders as profitability improved sharply even on slightly lower sales, reflecting better cost control and operating efficiency. The PAT beat and margin expansion could be viewed favorably by the market, though the modest revenue decline is a point to watch.
