UFO Moviez reported strong Q4 and full-year FY26 results with revenue growing 43% YoY to ₹1,342 million in Q4 and 15% for FY26 to ₹4,864 million. EBITDA rose 55% in Q4 and 36% for FY26, while net profit turned positive at ₹45 million in Q4 and grew 161% to ₹249 million for FY26. The company operates India's largest multiplex advertising network with 4,049 screens (2,597 multiplex + 1,452 single). The blockbuster movie 'Dhurandhar' released in late March significantly boosted Q4 performance. Management clarified that employee cost increase of ₹7.4 crores was due to INR 9 crores in variable payouts tied to improved profitability. The loss-making Caravan business has been fully shut down with assets sold for ₹2-3 crores. Trade receivables increased to ₹162 crores due to higher ad revenues and Dhurandhar release timing (DSO at 147 days vs 121 days last year). Revenue sharing with theatres increased from 33% to ~59.5% due to shift towards multiplex-heavy network model. Net cash improved to ₹590 million despite higher working capital requirements.
Strong profitability turnaround with 161% net profit growth validates operational improvements. However, higher revenue sharing with multiplex theatres and elevated receivables warrant monitoring. The management's decision to shut down the loss-making caravan business and focus on core cinema advertising is shareholder-positive.
