UltraTech Cement filed its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) unaudited consolidated results as a newspaper advertisement under SEBI LODR Regulation 47. Total income from operations rose to Rs 21,455.68 crore from Rs 18,987.06 crore a year ago (restated). Net profit after tax jumped to Rs 2,220.91 crore from Rs 1,493.45 crore, a ~49% YoY increase, while basic EPS climbed to Rs 75.67 from Rs 50.81. The results include the impact of the Kesoram Industries cement business merger (effective 1 March 2025), the Wonder WallCare acquisition completed 29 May 2025 for Rs 234.43 crore, and consolidated India Cements (81.49% stake) and RAKWCT (66.34% stake). The board approved the results on 21 July 2025.
Strong profit growth driven by acquisitions (Kesoram, India Cements, Wonder WallCare, RAKWCT) should be positive for shareholders, though year-on-year comparisons are not strictly like-for-like due to multiple inorganic additions. Investors should also note ongoing legal exposures: Rs 1,804 crore CCI penalty appeal, West Bengal incentive scheme challenge, and pending JAL preference share arbitration.
