Unichem Laboratories has submitted copies of its Q1 FY26 financial results published in the Mumbai editions of Business Standard and Mumbai Lakshdeep on August 5, 2025, as required under Regulation 47 of the Listing Regulations. On a consolidated basis, total income from operations was ₹526.60 crores, down from ₹587.18 crores in Q4 FY25, and the company swung to a net loss of ₹10.47 crores after tax versus a profit of ₹52.97 crores in the previous quarter. EPS turned negative at ₹(1.49) for the quarter. On a standalone basis, revenue was ₹384.25 crores with a loss after tax of ₹1.85 crores. The results were approved by the Board on August 4, 2025 with an unmodified auditor opinion. Comparatives have been restated to include the Bayshore Pharmaceuticals (USA) business acquired from parent Ipca Laboratories, and Unichem Laboratories Ireland ceased to be a subsidiary from April 30, 2025.
A swing to a quarterly loss on both consolidated and standalone fronts, along with a sequential revenue decline, is likely to dampen short-term sentiment. Investors should note that year-on-year comparisons are not apples-to-apples due to the Bayshore restatement and the Ireland subsidiary change.
