Unicommerce eSolutions reported Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue of Rs. 457.63 million and profit after tax of Rs. 38.90 million, versus Rs. 290.20 million and Rs. 35.12 million in Q1 FY25 (figures not directly comparable as Shipway was acquired only in December 2024). On a standalone basis, revenue was nearly flat at Rs. 277.34 million, but profit after tax jumped about 81% YoY to Rs. 63.60 million, helped by lower employee and other expenses. The Board also approved the appointment of Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP as the new statutory auditor for a five-year term (FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30), subject to shareholder approval, replacing the current auditor S.R. Batliboi & Associates. The current quarter was signed off by S.R. Batliboi with a clean, unqualified opinion.
Strong standalone profit growth signals improving cost efficiency, while the appointment of a Big-4 firm (Price Waterhouse) as auditor is likely to be viewed positively by the market. Top-line growth going forward will benefit from full-quarter Shipway consolidation, but investors should watch for share-swap based dilution tied to the remaining 57.24% Shipway stake acquisition.
