The Board of Universus Photo Imagings approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell sharply to Rs 497 lakhs from Rs 922 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, but profit after tax jumped to Rs 892 lakhs (EPS Rs 8.15) from Rs 578 lakhs (EPS Rs 5.28). On a consolidated basis, the company reported a loss of Rs 1,702 lakhs (EPS negative Rs 15.55) versus a loss of Rs 1,197 lakhs in Q1 FY25, primarily driven by a Rs 2,594 lakh share of losses from its foreign associate JPF Netherlands B.V., which recorded losses of 7,291 thousand Euros during the quarter. The Board also appointed M/s DMK Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years (FY26–FY30) and Mr. Suresh Kumar as Internal Auditor for FY26. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications.
The standalone business remains profitable with strong earnings growth despite weak topline, but the consolidated picture is clouded by deepening losses at the foreign associate JPF Netherlands B.V., which is flagged as material to the group. Investors should watch the associate's performance closely, as it is the key swing factor between standalone and consolidated results.
