Universus Photo Imagings (formerly Jindal Photo Imaging) submitted unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell sharply to Rs 497 lakhs from Rs 922 lakhs a year ago (down about 46%), while total revenue (including other income of Rs 1,104 lakhs) was Rs 1,601 lakhs. Standalone profit after tax rose to Rs 893 lakhs (EPS Rs 8.15) from Rs 578 lakhs (EPS Rs 5.28) last year, with the jump driven mainly by other income rather than core operations. On a consolidated basis, the company reported a loss of Rs 1,702 lakhs versus a loss of Rs 1,197 lakhs in Q1 FY25, pulled down by its foreign associate JPF Netherlands BV, which posted losses of about 7,291 thousand euros. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified (clean) limited review report on both sets of results. The board also appointed DMK Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years and Mr. Suresh Kumar as Internal Auditor for FY26.
Mixed picture for shareholders: standalone PAT is up nicely but core business revenue is shrinking, and the consolidated loss is widening because of the loss-making foreign associate. The unusually high share of other income in profits and the concentration of risk in JPF Netherlands BV are key things investors should track.
