Uno Minda shares in focus as firm enters 4-wheeler seating systems segment with Rs 320-crore capex

Uno Minda has approved a greenfield manufacturing facility at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with a proposed capital expenditure of around Rs 320 crore to enter the four-wheeler passenger vehicle seating systems segment. The project will be executed through its joint venture Uno Minda Tachi-S Seating Private Limited, formed with Japan's TACHI-S in September 2022, and the plant is expected to commence operations in Q4 FY28. The company has secured an anchor order from a leading OEM, which it says will significantly increase its revenue potential per vehicle within the passenger vehicle segment.
