Corrigendum to the Intimation Submitted today i.e. March 11, 2026 under Sub-Para 20 Of Para A of Part A of Schedule III of SEBI LODR

UNO Minda issued a corrigendum to its earlier same-day filing about a penalty order from the Office of the Commissioner of Goods & Service Tax and Central Excise, Salem. The corrigendum clarifies that the original tax demand of Rs. 126.19 crore had already been paid by the company before the dispute began, so only interest and penalty remain. The order relates to HSN misclassification: a Rs. 4.24 crore penalty for Nov 2017–March 2020 (covered under the amnesty scheme, so no exposure) and a Rs. 8.38 crore penalty for April 2020–October 2023, plus applicable interest. The company received the order on March 11, 2026 and plans to contest it on merits.
