Uno Minda is entering the complete four-wheeler passenger vehicle seating systems segment, expanding its 2022 joint venture with Japan's Tachi-S from seat recliners to full seating systems. The Board has approved a greenfield plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, with an investment of about Rs 320 crore. Operations are expected to begin by Q4FY28. The joint venture has already secured an anchor order from a leading OEM, and management says the move will meaningfully increase per-vehicle revenue potential.
