Key capacity additions include a 4W-EV Powertrain Project (DHT and EDU) worth Rs 550 crore through subsidiary UMAIPL, with additional equity investment of Rs 310 crore over 2 years. The company also seeks shareholder approval to raise up to Rs 2,500 crore through securities. Further investment of Rs 20 crore in UMEVS (EV subsidiary) was approved. Auditors S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP gave an unmodified opinion on the financial results.
Strong financial performance with near-20% revenue growth and 22% PAT growth indicates solid execution. The Rs 550 crore EV powertrain investment signals aggressive EV transition strategy. Fund-raising approval provides flexibility for future growth but may dilute existing shareholders if utilized.
