Uno Minda Limited has announced a new greenfield manufacturing facility through its subsidiary Uno Minda Auto Innovations Private Limited (UMAIPL) in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. The plant will manufacture high-voltage Electric Drive Units (EDU) and Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) systems for four-wheeler passenger vehicles. This is the company's second EV powertrain plant, following the ongoing facility in Khed City, Pune (expected to begin operations in H2 FY27).
