Update on Credit Rating

ICRA Limited has reaffirmed its highest short-term rating [ICRA]A1+ on Triveni Engineering & Industries' existing Commercial Paper of Rs. 125 crore. Additionally, ICRA has assigned the same [ICRA]A1+ rating to a fresh/enhanced Commercial Paper limit of Rs. 175 crore, taking the total rated Commercial Paper program to Rs. 300 crore. The A1+ rating indicates the strongest capacity of the company to meet its short-term obligations with the lowest credit risk. The rating letters were issued by ICRA on May 16, 2025. This effectively doubles the company's rated short-term borrowing capacity while maintaining the top-tier rating.
Positive for shareholders — retention of the highest short-term credit rating signals strong financial health and low default risk, while the enhanced Rs. 175 crore limit gives the company greater short-term funding flexibility at premium rates. Likely to support investor confidence, though this is more of a status-quo event than a fresh catalyst for the stock price.
