US stock market to Nikkei: Here’s global equity heatmap you should know before opening of the Indian stock market today

Indian stock market is expected to open weak on Tuesday, with Gift Nifty trading around 24,147, a discount of nearly 112 points from the previous close, amid mixed global cues, escalating Middle East geopolitical tensions, elevated crude oil prices, and persistent FPI selling. US markets ended lower overnight with the Dow down 0.59 percent, S&P 500 down 0.19 percent, and Nasdaq down 0.05 percent, while Asian markets rebounded sharply led by Nikkei gaining 1.82 percent and Kospi jumping 2.85 percent. European markets closed mixed with FTSE 100 declining 0.7 percent; oil and gas was the best-performing sector globally while travel and airline stocks faced selling pressure.
