Utkarsh Small Finance Bank held its 9th Annual General Meeting on August 22, 2025, via video conferencing, with all 5 resolutions passed with overwhelming majority (over 99.99% in favour each). The resolutions included adoption of FY25 audited financials, re-appointment of Mr. Muralidharan Rajamani as director, appointment of Joint Statutory Auditors, appointment of Dr. Kshatrapati Shivaji as Independent Director and Part Time Chairman, and appointment of BNP & Associates as Secretarial Auditor. Management shared FY25 highlights: loan portfolio grew 7.5%, deposits rose 23% YoY to ₹21,566 crores, and profit after tax stood at ₹23.7 crores. The bank expanded to 1,092 branches across 27 states and union territories, with strong growth in MSME (52%), housing (36%), and BBG (52%) loan books. However, microfinance headwinds pushed gross NPAs to 9.43%, though CRAR remained healthy at 20.9%, well above the RBI threshold.
Shareholders have firmly endorsed the bank's leadership and strategic direction, including key board appointments. The rising NPAs in the microfinance segment remain a watchpoint, but the bank's pivot toward secured lending, strong capital adequacy, and deposit growth signal a stable outlook for shareholders.
