Utkarsh Small Finance Bank has informed the exchange that its 9th Annual General Meeting will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. via video conferencing. Along with the AGM notice, the bank has submitted its Annual Report for FY 2024-25, including the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report. Key financials for FY25 include total revenue of ₹4,364.76 crore, profit after tax of just ₹23.70 crore (a steep 95% drop from ₹497.63 crore in FY24), deposits of ₹21,566 crore (up 23% year-on-year), and a loan portfolio of ₹19,666 crore (up 7%). The bank crossed 1,092 outlets across 27 states and 4.99 million customers. A massive ₹423 crore provision in Q3, triggered by stress in the microfinance sector and new MFIN guardrails, was the main reason for the sharp profit decline. Capital adequacy stood at a healthy 20.93%, and CASA + retail term deposit ratio improved to 71%.
The AGM notice is a routine regulatory filing, but the attached annual report reveals a sharply weaker bottom line due to microfinance sector stress, though deposits and customer growth remain strong. Shareholders should note the credit rating outlook was revised to Negative in May-June 2025, and the bank plans to raise up to ₹750 crore in Tier I capital, which could lead to some dilution.
