Vaishali Parekh recommends three intraday stocks to buy or sell on Thursday — 16 July 2026

Indian benchmark indices ended marginally higher on Wednesday with the BSE Sensex adding 130 points to 77,185 and the Nifty 50 gaining 26 points to 24,078, while mid- and small-caps outperformed by around 0.5% despite rising US-Iran tensions and a surge in crude oil prices. Asian markets traded mixed to lower on Thursday morning, with Japan's Nikkei down 3.03% and South Korea's Kospi tumbling 6.17%, though Gift Nifty at about 24,106 suggested a mildly positive opening for Indian markets. Technical analyst Vaishali Parekh of Prabhudas Lilladher shared three intraday picks: buy CESC around 162 with target 168 and stop loss 158, Vedanta around 260 with target 250 and stop loss 266, and Crisil around 4,190 with target 4,260 and stop loss 4,170.
