The Bombay High Court on 30 April 2026 dismissed the First Appeal filed by the Union of India (Salt Department) against Miraland Developers Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Valor Estate Limited. This brings to a close over four decades of litigation regarding title to approximately 205 acres of land at Village Bhayandar, Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, District Thane. The initial suit was filed by the Salt Department in 2011 and was dismissed in favor of Miraland Developers by the Thane Civil Court in April 2018. The company is awaiting the certified copy of the High Court order.
The favorable court ruling secures clear title to 205 acres of land, significantly strengthening the company's asset base and eliminating a long-standing legal uncertainty. This positive resolution removes cloud over a major landholding and could unlock development potential.
