Valson Industries, a manufacturer of art silk and synthetic yarn, reported un-audited results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Net sales came in at Rs. 2,830.50 lakhs, down about 1% from Rs. 2,861.95 lakhs in the same quarter last year and down roughly 15% from the preceding quarter (Rs. 3,334.83 lakhs). Total income stood at Rs. 2,847.34 lakhs versus Rs. 2,887.01 lakhs year-on-year. Net profit after tax nearly doubled to Rs. 9.15 lakhs from Rs. 4.59 lakhs last year, with basic EPS at Rs. 0.12 vs Rs. 0.06. There were no exceptional items, and the statutory auditor (Bastawala & Associates) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Mixed picture for shareholders — top-line softened both YoY and QoQ, likely reflecting demand or pricing pressure in the yarn segment, but operating leverage helped PAT almost double YoY. The scale of profit is still very small (single-digit lakhs), so the stock is unlikely to see a material re-rating from these numbers alone.
