Vardhman Textiles has shared its Q1 FY25-26 production and sales numbers across yarn, grey fabric, and processed fabric. Yarn production rose 2.6% YoY to 68,639 metric tonnes while yarn sales grew 3.8% YoY to 65,329 metric tonnes, though they dipped nearly 5% versus the previous quarter. Grey fabric volumes weakened on both YoY and QoQ bases — production fell to 496 lac meters (down from 524 a year ago) and sales slipped to 497 lac meters. Processed fabric sales, however, edged up 2.7% YoY to 418 lac meters even as production fell 2.8% to 410 lac meters, indicating some inventory drawdown.
Mixed signals for shareholders — yarn segment shows healthy YoY momentum, but the grey fabric business is clearly under pressure with volumes contracting, which could weigh on margins and overall growth in the near term.
