Vardhman Textiles has completed its previously approved investment of Rs. 16.67 crore in Renew Green (MPR One) Private Limited by subscribing to 755 equity shares of Rs. 10 face value. Post-allotment, Vardhman will hold a 31.2% stake in the company. The investment relates to setting up an 11.5 MW Wind Solar Hybrid Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh, for which Vardhman had earlier signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Share Subscription and Shareholder's Agreement (SSSA). This is a follow-up to earlier intimations dated May 2023, May 2025, and June 2025 regarding amendments to those agreements.
This investment supports Vardhman's captive renewable energy needs, potentially reducing long-term power costs and improving ESG credentials, though the Rs. 16.67 crore size is small relative to the company's overall scale and unlikely to move the stock materially.
