Varroc Engineering has signed Power Delivery and Share Purchase Agreements with two AMPIN group SPVs to set up solar power plants in Tamil Nadu (0.40 MWAC) and Karnataka (0.50 MWAC) under the captive power scheme. The company will invest up to Rs 22.80 lakh for 0.44% stake in one SPV and Rs 25.90 lakh for 0.83% stake in the other, totalling about Rs 48.70 lakh. The solar power will supply its manufacturing plants in both states. The deal is not a related party transaction. Completion is targeted by August 30, 2026.
Small investment in captive solar aimed at lowering long-term energy costs and supporting sustainability. Negligible financial impact.
