Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Vedanta Power shares debuted on BSE at Rs 41.30 apiece, giving the newly listed entity a market capitalisation of Rs 16,149.90 crore — within the Rs 35-60 range anticipated by analysts and slightly below Nuvama's Rs 17,466 crore estimate. The listing completes one leg of Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta Limited's mega demerger, which has spawned four listed entities — Vedanta Aluminium, Vedanta Power, Vedanta Oil & Gas, and Vedanta Iron & Steel — with each eligible shareholder receiving one share in each new company for every share held in Vedanta (record date May 1). All four demerged stocks were placed in the Trade-to-Trade (T2T) segment at debut, with Vedanta Power housing over 4 GW of thermal capacity across Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.
