Vedanta reported its Q4 and full-year FY26 production results ending March 31, 2026. The company achieved record performance across multiple metals segments: highest-ever annual Aluminium production at 2,456 kt (up 1% YoY), record Alumina output at 2,916 kt (up 48% YoY), and record mined metal production at Zinc India of 1,114 kt (up 2% YoY). Copper cathode production hit a record 170 KT (up 15% YoY), while Iron Ore production rose 5% to 6.5 million tonnes. However, Oil & Gas production declined sharply to 87.2 kboepd for FY26, down 16% YoY from 103.2 kboepd, due to natural field decline. Power sales surged 43% YoY in Q4 driven by new plants Athena and Meenakshi ramping up operations.
The mixed production results show strength in metals and power but continued weakness in Oil & Gas, which remains a drag on overall performance. Record outputs across key metals segments may support sentiment, though the 16% oil production decline is concerning for revenue diversification.
