Vedanta reported its best-ever quarterly performance for Q3FY26, with record revenue of ₹45,899 crore (up 19% year-on-year) and highest-ever EBITDA of ₹15,171 crore (up 34% year-on-year). EBITDA margin expanded sharply by 629 basis points to 41%, while profit after tax jumped 60% to a record ₹7,807 crore. The company strengthened its balance sheet with Net Debt/EBITDA improving to 1.23x from 1.40x in the previous year quarter, and credit rating was reaffirmed at AA by CRISIL and ICRA. Vedanta acquired Incab Industries to expand its downstream copper and aluminium footprint and invested nearly $1.3 billion in growth capex over nine months. Shareholders earned about 30% returns in the period, delivering 5x Nifty and 2.7x Nifty Metal index returns, with a 5-year cumulative total shareholder return of 428%.
This is a strong positive update for shareholders — record profitability, margin expansion, deleveraging, and reaffirmed AA credit rating all point to robust fundamentals. The acquisition of Incab Industries and $1.3 billion growth capex signal confidence in future expansion, likely supportive of the stock price in the near term.
