Vedanta reported record production across Aluminium, Alumina, and Zinc India for Q3 FY26. Aluminium output rose to 620 kt (+1% YoY) while Alumina jumped 57% YoY to 794 kt, supported by Train II commissioning at Lanjigarh. Zinc India posted record mined metal (276 kt, +4% YoY) and refined metal (270 kt, +4% YoY) production, aided by debottlenecking projects. Zinc International output rose 28% YoY to 59 kt, with Gamsberg up 40% YoY. Oil & Gas was a weak spot, with average daily gross operated production falling 15% YoY to 84.9 kboepd on declines at Rajasthan and Ravva. Power sales surged 40% YoY on commissioning of Athena and Meenakshi plants, while Copper India hit a 7-year high at 45 kt.
Strong metals production and ramp-up of new power capacity are positive for revenue and earnings, but the sharp decline in Oil & Gas output and the sub-judice status of the Cambay block PSC extension remain near-term overhangs. The mix of record metals and weaker hydrocarbons is broadly neutral to slightly positive for the stock.
