Venus Pipes & Tubes posted Q1FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) revenue of INR 276.4 Cr, up 15.1% YoY from INR 240.1 Cr and 7.1% QoQ, marking an all-time high quarterly revenue. However, EBITDA declined 6.3% YoY to INR 44.9 Cr, with margins compressing to 16.2% from 20.0% a year ago. Profit after tax fell 9.8% YoY to INR 24.8 Cr (margins at 9.0% vs 11.5% earlier), though PAT grew 4.6% sequentially. Exports revenue surged 69% YoY to INR 103.1 Cr, now contributing 37.3% of total revenue. Seamless pipes grew 13% YoY and welded pipes grew 10% YoY. Management highlighted strong order flow from the power sector and capacity expansion projects on track to commence in H2 FY26.
Mixed results — record-high revenue and robust export growth are positives for the stock, but the sharp fall in EBITDA and PAT margins despite higher sales suggests rising input costs or pricing pressure, which may concern investors focused on profitability. Capacity expansion coming on stream by H2 FY26 could support future margin recovery if execution stays on track.
