Veritas (India) Ltd reported consolidated revenue of Rs 58,666.42 lakhs for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025), down about 22% from Rs 75,552.08 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Consolidated profit after tax stood at Rs 2,414.84 lakhs versus Rs 4,807.12 lakhs YoY, a near 50% drop, with EPS of Rs 9.01 (vs Rs 17.93). Standalone results turned negative with a loss of Rs 53.66 lakhs against a profit of Rs 81.85 lakhs YoY. Operating profit (EBITDA) margin compressed from roughly 8.5% to about 6.1% YoY. The auditor issued an unqualified limited review opinion but drew attention (emphasis of matter) to the integrated manufacturing complex being set up by subsidiary Veritas Polychem at Dighi Port, Maharashtra, currently funded by the company.
Sharp revenue and profit decline along with margin compression are negative signals for shareholders; the new Dighi Port manufacturing project remains a key future growth driver but also a funding overhang. Key management changes (new CFO appointed, one Independent Director resigned, new Independent Women Director appointed) add near-term governance uncertainty.
