Veritas (India) Limited's Board approved the audited financial results (standalone and consolidated) for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025. Consolidated total income rose to Rs. 4,10,391.65 lakhs from Rs. 3,91,143.14 lakhs a year earlier, but consolidated profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 11,355.89 lakhs from Rs. 18,685.14 lakhs. On a standalone basis, revenue jumped about 32% to Rs. 32,314 lakhs and PAT grew roughly 15% to Rs. 433.88 lakhs. The Board recommended a 5% dividend (Re. 0.05 per equity share of Re. 1 face value) for FY24-25. Statutory auditors M/s Shabbir & Rita Associates LLP issued an unmodified opinion, with an emphasis of matter flagging that the subsidiary Veritas Polychem is setting up an integrated manufacturing complex at Dighi Port, Maharashtra, currently funded by the parent.
Shareholders get a small dividend, but consolidated earnings dropped about 39% year-on-year despite modest revenue growth, indicating margin pressure at the group level. Investors should watch the Dighi Port manufacturing project, which may need additional external funding later and could affect the parent's balance sheet.
