Vibhor Steel Tubes reported its FY25 audited results along with a capex expansion announcement. For the full year, revenue from operations fell to Rs. 996.4 crore from Rs. 1,072.7 crore last year, while net profit dropped to Rs. 11.77 crore from Rs. 17.72 crore — a decline of roughly 34%. Basic EPS for FY25 came in at Rs. 6.21 versus Rs. 9.34 a year ago. Q4 FY25 revenue was Rs. 288.3 crore with a profit of Rs. 4.44 crore. The board also approved an additional Rs. 60 crore capex for the Sundargarh (Odisha) plant, doubling the project outlay to Rs. 120 crore and raising annual capacity from 1,20,000 MT to 1,56,000 MT. The expansion is being funded through external debt and will add new products like transmission towers and monopole poles, though commissioning has been pushed to end of June 2025 due to a delay in getting the electricity connection.
Mixed signals for shareholders — FY25 results show a notable dip in both revenue and profitability, but the Odisha capacity expansion signals growth ambition and diversification into new product lines. The use of external debt and the commissioning delay introduce some execution and leverage risk in the near term.
