Vibhor Steel Tubes (VSTL) reported a 4.29% rise in standalone net profit to Rs 3.14 crore for Q1 FY26 (June 30, 2025), up from Rs 3.02 crore in the same quarter last year. Operating income grew 2.76% to Rs 230.95 crore versus Rs 224.75 crore YoY. EBITDA stood at Rs 10.26 crore (vs Rs 9.41 crore), with EPS at Rs 1.66 (vs Rs 1.59). The company recently commissioned a new 1.56 lakh MT greenfield plant in Odisha (Unit III), taking total capacity to 3,77,000 MTPA, and has begun tower manufacturing there. Management highlighted buoyant steel demand driven by government infrastructure spending and plans to push into exports and value-added products. However, over 80% of revenue still depends on its contract manufacturing deal with Jindal Pipes under the 'Jindal Star' brand, signalling heavy customer concentration.
Numbers show only marginal growth in profit and revenue, suggesting limited near-term upside, but the new Odisha plant and push into value-added and export markets could improve margins in coming quarters. Investors should weigh the growth potential against the heavy dependence on a single client (Jindal Pipes), which remains a key risk.
