Vindhya Telelinks Ltd reported mixed annual results for FY2026 ending 31st March 2026. Standalone revenue declined 12% to Rs 35,663 lakhs from Rs 40,538 lakhs, with profit after tax dropping sharply to Rs 5,279 lakhs from Rs 11,548 lakhs (-54%), primarily due to lower EPC segment performance and higher finance costs of Rs 1,482 lakhs. However, consolidated PAT grew 8.5% to Rs 22,018 lakhs (vs Rs 20,284 lakhs) driven by strong associate contributions of Rs 11,247 lakhs. EBITDA margin compressed significantly on standalone basis from 26.2% to 15.3%. Operating cash flow remained negative at Rs -1,684 lakhs though improved from prior year's Rs -5,903 lakhs. The board declared a dividend of Rs 6 per share (60%), approved NCD raising up to Rs 200 crores, and cleared Rs 65 crore additional investment in optical fibre cable capacity taking total outlay to Rs 101.7 crores. Three wholly-owned subsidiaries were excluded from consolidation due to ongoing legal disputes over books of accounts.
Standalone earnings decline may pressure near-term stock sentiment despite strong consolidated PAT growth; the Rs 200 crore NCD plan signals higher debt levels while capacity expansion signals confidence in cable demand from data centres. Shareholders should note ongoing subsidiary legal issues and negative operating cash flow.
